Randy Vásquez's quest for his first Triple-A win remains elusive after another challenging outing with the El Paso Chihuahuas. In their recent game against the Oklahoma City Dodgers, Vásquez struggled significantly, allowing four runs over four innings and contributing to the Chihuahuas' 5-2 defeat.

In the game against Oklahoma City, Vásquez's performance was marked by inconsistency. He struck out two batters and walked two while giving up six hits, including a home run to former Dodgers player Andy Pages.

With a current record of 0-5 and an ERA of 8.78 across 26⅔ innings at Triple-A , Vásquez's struggles have been evident. This contrasts sharply with his major league performance, where he had a 3-6 record and a 4.63 ERA.

On a more positive note for the Chihuahuas, right fielder Cal Mitchell made a notable contribution by going 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Shortstop Clay Dungan and third baseman Eguy Rosario also added to the offense with doubles, while first baseman Tirso Ornelas contributed a hit and a walk. Despite these efforts, the team’s season remains tough, with their record standing at 46-76.

In other minor league news, the Double-A San Antonio Missions fell to Frisco 9-3. Pitcher Ryan Bergert gave up four runs in five innings, while Connor Hollis hit his second home run of the season. Marcos Castañon had a standout performance with four hits.

The High Single-A Fort Wayne TinCaps experienced a close 3-2 loss to Peoria, despite strong performances from Ethan Salas and Kai Murphy, each recording two hits. Meanwhile, the Low Single-A Lake Elsinore Storm celebrated a 7-5 victory over Rancho Cucamonga, driven by home runs from Braedon Karpathios and Sean Barnett.

As the season progresses, Randy Vásquez's search for his first win with El Paso continues amidst a challenging campaign for the Chihuahuas. Despite individual bright spots, such as Cal Mitchell’s solid performance and contributions from other players, the team’s overall struggles underscore a tough season ahead. The minor league affiliates also face their own ups and downs, reflecting the broader challenges within the Padres' system.
