Kelsey Plum Gets Love From Fans After Major Announcement

The milestones continue to pour in for Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum after winning a gold medal with Team USA in the Paris Olympics.

Under Armour recently announced the release of the first player-exclusive colorway of Plum's signature shoe, the "Breakthru 5 Plum," to celebrate her 30th birthday this Aug. 24. The Aces will face the Minnesota Lynx on the same date.

The "Breakthru 5 Plum" features a purple and orange design as an homage to the fruit and the high-scoring guard's last name.

"This makes me so proud to be a Plum," the two-time champion said on Under Armour's website.

Under Armour posted the commercial of the signature shoe on Instagram, and fans were all for it.

"This is dope," one fan commented.

"Snagged some for my daughter," another fan said. "Love the look!"

Some also wondered if it also comes in men's sizes.

"We can get Sabrina’s in men’s sizes, why not these?," asked a fan, referring to the signature shoe of New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu.

Others stressed that Plum, a three-time All-Star, is highly deserving of the honor.

"Yeah, Plum dawg," one fan commented.

"Plum owns the game!" another fan added.

The "Breakthru 5 Plum" is priced at $135.

The 29-year-old playmaker is involved with the creation of her own line of sneakers, ensuring that they not only resonate with her personal style but also meet the needs of her fellow athletes.

Plum is averaging 18.2 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game this season. The Aces are currently fifth in the league with a 17-10 win-loss card.
