Angel Reese recently took to social media, sharing a kind message to Seattle Storm guard Skylar Diggins-Smith.

Diggins-Smith took part in a one-on-one interview with ESPN and shared some information on her background as an athlete and businesswoman. She commented on her responsibilities and priorities on and off the court, which Reese mentioned she's always admired.

The Chicago Sky forward explained that she viewed Diggins-Smith as a role model while growing her name in the women's basketball community.

Reese has been a star on and off the court, taking time to develop her skills as an athlete and businesswoman, as well.

"One of them ones that laid the ground for me to walk on when it comes to this beauty side in sports & marketing yourself off the court! Always love you Sky!" Reese said.

Diggins-Smith began her journey in the WNBA in 2013 when she was taken with the No. 3 overall pick to the Tulsa Shock, an organization that moved their naming rights to Texas and is now known as the Dallas Wings.

She has also played for the Phoenix Mercury and now competes with the Seattle Storm. The talented guard is a six-time WNBA All-Star and four-time All-WNBA First Team player.

As ESPN mentioned, though, Diggins-Smith hasn't just been an elite player on the court. She was the first-ever WNBA player to hit one million followers on Instagram.

Diggins-Smith made it a priority to use her business major, which she acquired at Notre Dame, to make a name for herself outside of the dotted lines.

"I was a business major, so I was thinking about my brand," Diggins-Smith said. "I did take my time to explore different marketing things. Different events in pop culture that was kind of outside of what you would normally see basketball players."

Angel Reese has followed in similar footsteps to Diggins-Smith. She's an extremely talented rookie for the Sky, but the 22-year-old has also made her mark in the business world.

Reese is currently averaging 13.6 points and 12.3 rebounds per game and she's cemented her name as one of the best glass cleaners in the league.

She's also taken the initiative to create a massive brand around her name outside of the court. The rookie has over eight million combined followers on Instagram, TikTok, and X.

Aside from being a WNBA All-Star in her first year as a professional, Reese has also inked major brand deals with companies like Beats by Dre, Reebok, and Reese's.
