Rams News: Open the Season with a Night of Football and Fun at Hollywood Cemetery

The Los Angeles Rams are kicking off the NFL season with a unique watch party at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on September 8.

Dubbed the " Royal Tour Watch Party ," fans will gather to watch the Rams face off against the Detroit Lions, with the game airing on NBC and streaming on Peacock at 5:20 PM PT. Local listeners can catch the action on ESPN LA 710 AM.

Tickets for the event went on sale for Rams Season Ticket Members at $9, while general public tickets will be available for $16 starting Thursday.

"With our team kicking off their 2024 campaign in Detroit in primetime, we wanted to create an only-in-Hollywood moment for our fans here in LA," said Los Angeles Rams Chief Marketing Officer Kathryn Kai-ling Frederick .

"As we gear up for our home opener on September 22 at the Rams House, we're thrilled to bring our fans together to kick off the season in this unique setting and create memories that will last a lifetime... and beyond."

This gathering aims to create a memorable experience for fans as the Rams begin their 2024 campaign in Detroit. The Rams are looking for redemption after a tough loss to the Lions in the wild card round last season, 24-23, which ended their playoff run.

In that game, quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for 367 yards and two touchdowns, while rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua set a record with 181 receiving yards. Despite the disappointing outcome, the Rams exceeded expectations last season, and they are eager to start fresh this year.

The watch party will feature limited merchandise, food, and beverage options for purchase, and fans are welcome to bring select items as well.

As the Rams prepare for their season opener, they hope to turn the page on last year's heartbreak and make a strong statement against the Lions.
