Battle Of New York: How To Watch Giants vs. Jets

The New York Giants will wrap up their preseason schedule against the New York Jets on Saturday night at MetLife Stadium. The Giants come into the game with a 1-1 record while the Jets are undefeated in preseason play at 2-0.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

The two teams from the Big Apple have been squaring off in the preseason since 1969, excluding the 2020 season when the preseason was canceled because of the pandemic.

The Jets hold the series lead 28-25-1 and have won three straight meetings. The lone tie was back in 1972.

This game is the last opportunity for a lot of players to put their best foot forward and put great game film out there, not just for their current teams, but for other teams around the league who will be shopping following the final cut down day next Tuesday.

This game will be played without Jets starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers seeing action, but at this writing, mums the word on Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. Jones had an up-and-down game against the Texans in a loss last week, but finished way better than he started in that game, throwing two interceptions in the first quarter.

New York isn't likely to play its starters on Saturday, giving extra opportunities to those on the fringes of game checks, practice squad play, or the open market.
