Nick Foles only played as the Philadelphia Eagles ' starting quarterback for four seasons. He never got to play a full season in any of the years as a starter.

Even so, he has retired as one of the greatest players in team history.

The Super Bowl LII MVP retired as an Eagle this offseason after setting the team record for the best touchdown-to-interception ratio in a single season (27:2), and was the first Super Bowl-winning quarterback in franchise history.

It wasn't just the city of Philadelphia that loved Foles, though. The feeling, according to the quarterback, was mutual.

"That locker room in Philadelphia, you could play for so long because of the brotherhood and everything about that city and that team," Foles said on Green Light with Chris Long . "Even when I look back at my career, I'm so grateful for the other teams I played for besides Philadelphia because they gave me an opportunity to play, they gave me an opportunity to be a part of their organization and their city, but when I look back at my career, the only time I felt at home was Philadelphia."

The Eagles will always be indebted to Foles as a player and person for his heroics in 2017. It's clear that he feels the same way about the city, though.
