Who Really Won Giants-Jets Joint Practice?

Perhaps this is the last piece of evidence needed to understand that both the New York Jets and New York Giants truly have a cross-town rivalry between themselves, their fanbases, and even some media members.

Despite the Jets seemingly coming away with a joint practice victory over their rivals, some members of the Giants media weren't too pleased that the day was called early on the side of Gang Green.

"As someone who did not watch every play of Giants D vs. Jets O yesterday, to actually watch the video today of it all, it's kind of why fans say we blow things out of proportion or don't trust what we say about practice if and when they can't watch," Art Stapleton, a Giants beat reporter for NorthJersey.com said . "Did the Jets do some good things on O? Absolutely. Was it domination? Hardly. Overreaction for sure."

Here's the problem with Stapleton's remarks -- the Giants and other major reporters disagree with him.

Whether it was Malik Nabers saying the Jets won the day, or SNY's Connor Hughes bluntly telling WFAN that the day was controlled by the Jets, Big Blue doesn't get any extra pointers for one reporter saying the two sides were evenly matched.

Especially since the Jets scored four touchdowns overall in team drills -- usually a dominant sign of for the proceedings.

Did the Giants have some wins? Sure. But that's how practice usually goes.

It also doesn't take away from the fact that the Jets still took it to their rivals on Wednesday.
