Nick Saban is the greatest recruiter of all time as his Alabama recruiting classes consistently were either No. 1 or 2 in the final rankings.

Saban would trot onto the field each year, followed by mammoth-sized players who physically dominated the competition, and it is one of the main reasons his teams won so many games. They were just more talented and also just so happened to be coached by the greatest coach of all time.

Entering his tenure at Alabama, Kalen DeBoer's recruiting pedigree was questioned amid gloomy recruiting cycles at Washington.

Sporting the No. 2 ranked 2025 class according to 247Sports and On3, DeBoer's initial momentum is strong, but that could all change with the results that play out this fall.

Luckily for DeBoer, Saban set the offensive guru up for phenomenal success with the roster he passed along.

According to 247Sports' 2024 Team Talent Composite, which takes into account each player's recruiting rankings coming out of high school to determine a team's ranking, Alabama has the most talent-rich roster in the country.

The Crimson Tide is one of two teams whose total points pass the 1,000 point threshold and is 12 points ahead of second place Georgia.

Alabama owns the most former five-stars with 17 on the roster which is three more than rival Georgia and Ohio State.

Although Ohio State, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame boast more four-stars, the Crimson Tide isn't far behind with 50 four-stars on the roster.

Alabama isn't shy to take a few three-stars either with 15 on the roster including preseason All-American center Parker Brailsford.

DeBoer never had a roster anywhere close to the one he will have this fall but he was still able to accumulate 104 wins to just 12 losses over his head coaching career. He was able to do more with less, and now it will be up to DeBoer to use the embarrassment of riches at his disposal to hoist championship trophies.
