Cowboys Camp Open to Fans at The Star

AUG 23 CAMP AT THE STAR! The Dallas Cowboys are comin' home for the end of training camp. Fans are invited to come watch the two practices, both of which are happening at The Star in Frisco, on Aug. 27 and 28.

The 'Boys' are also hosting a party prior to the practices called "Cowboys Night." That is launching on Tuesday, August 27 at 4 p.m. on the Tostitos Championship Plaza. The doors to The Star will open for fans at 5 p.m., which is an hour prior to the open practice, which is slated to go from 6 to 7 p.m.

On the second day of the event, a Kick-Off Ceremony will happen on Wednesday, August 28th. The ceremony will take place at 5:40 p.m. and there will be a performance by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

Also, owner Jerry Jones will make a speech, and doors will open for the open-practice session at 5 p.m.

All of the access and activities are free of charge to fans.

AUG 19 2 MOVES The Cowboys on Monday morning officially signed vet free agent defensive end Carl Lawson and to make room for him moved backup tackle Earl Bostick to the injured reserve

AUG 15 DAVIS CUT The Dallas Cowboys are cutting 10-year veteran defensive tackle Carl Davis as part of the shuffle to make room for the last-24-hour acquisitions of Carl Lawson and Jordan Phillips.

One more move will also be made to fit the two newcomers into the 90-man roster.

Phillips was acquired late Wednesday via trade with the Giants, while Lawson was signed as a free agent after having three years ago signed a $15 million APY deal with the Jets.

AUG 12 BEN TO BILLS The Bills have an injury issue at quarterback behind Josh Allen with Shane Buechele injured .. and it appears old friend Ben DiNucci is going to get a crack at helping the AFC East club.

DiNucci was a 2020 seventh-round pick by the Cowboys and a project of coach Mike McCarthy that never quite worked out. He played in three games during his rookie season, his only three regular-season appearances during his career, which saw him on the Broncos practice squad last year.

Mitch Trubisky is the other healthy QB on the depth chart in Buffalo.

AUG 6 CONNOR SIGNS Former Cowboys offensive lineman Connor Williams - who has been dealing with a devastating knee injury during his time in Miami - is signing on in Seattle.

The Seahawks are signing Williams to a one-year deal worth up to $6 million.

Williams, a Coppell native, was a second-round pick out of Texas who began his NFL career in 2018 and became an almost-immediate starter.

In 2022, Williams agreed to a two-year, $14 million contract with the Dolphins, where he moved from guard to center ... but then, after starting in nine games last season, Williams suffered an ACL tear in Week 14.

There was some thought he might give up a comeback. This deal tells another story.

MAY 19 CTE "I can virtually guarantee that I have CTE,'' Jason Kelce wrote on social media recently, the retired Philadelphia Eagles standout like always telling it like it is. "All the research would suggest I have some degree of it. I think it is entirely reasonable to assume I have some degree of that pathology.''

MAY 12 ERIN'S PHOTO We wish a Happy Mother's Day to Erin Andrews and moms everywhere. But we are a bit taken by the Fox reporter's choice of Mom's Day cards, in a sense, that she sent out this weekend.

The veteran NFL sideline reporter recently welcomed her first child as Erin and her husband, former NHL player Jarret Stoll, are proud parents of a baby boy.

And to celebrate? Andrews - to promote her clothing line, of course - posed for a notable pic with the New York Post, wearing a sweater and a smile ...

And little else. Happy Mother's Day, Erin!

“Absolutely. I totally think Dak can lead us to a championship. He does everything the right way. He’s certainly the leader of this football team. He keeps everybody motivated in the offseason. He’s got everybody working out and doing all the things that it takes to put in the work to give yourself every opportunity to win a championship. ...
