The Philadelphia Phillies (74-53) lost their first series of the week after forcing a rubber match in game three. Still holding on to the National League East division lead, the Phillies now look to open the weekend with a win over the Kansas City Royals (71-56).

The Phillies will turn to veteran Taijuan Walker (3-4, 5.69 ERA) on Friday. In his last start, Walker allowed three earned runs on four hits and three walks while striking out three in 4 2/3 innings. Walker's time with the Phillies has been a struggle due to injuries and poor performance on the mound.

Here is how the Phillies will line up on Friday:

    1.) DH Kyle Schwarber
    2.) SS Trea Turner
    3.) 1B Bryce Harper
    4.) 3B Alec Bohm
    5.) RF Nick Castellanos
    6.) 2B Bryson Stott
    7.) C J.T. Realmuto
    8.) CF Brandon Marsh
    9.) LF Austin Hays

    SP Taijuan Walker

The Royals will turn to a veteran of their own in Michael Wacha (10-6, 3.33 ERA). In his last start, Wacha allowed no earned runs on four hits and one walk while striking out nine in six innings.

Wacha has been fantastic for the Royals over his last 10 starts. In that span, he has pitched to a 2.29 ERA across 59 innings.

Here is how the Royals will line up on Friday:

    1.) 2B Michael Massey
    2.) SS Bobby Witt Jr.
    3.) 1B Vinnie Pasquantino
    4.) C Salvador Perez
    5.) LF MJ Melendez
    6.) RF Hunter Renfroe
    7.) DH Adam Frazier
    8.) 3B Paul DeJong
    9.) CF Kyle Isbel

    SP Michael Wacha
