The Texas Longhorns continue to build through the trenches on the recruiting trail, and their latest addition is not only a big win but a big human.

Four-star offensive tackle Nick Brooks out of Loganville, Georgia took to social media on Friday to announce that he would be committing to Texas. He chose them over programs like Alabama, Georgia and USC among others.

The 6-foot-8 lineman is actually from Iowa, but transferred to a school in Georgia for his sophomore season, returned to Iowa for his junior year and is now playing for Georgia powerhouse Loganville.

With his addition, Texas' 2025 recruiting class ranks as the No. 12 class in the country, according to 247Sports. They hold a total of 17 commitments headlined by five-star wide receiver Kaliq Lockett, and could be on track to add another five-star player on Saturday based on a prediction from On3's Steve Wiltfong.

The recruiting insider inserted a prediction that the Longhorns will land five-star safety Jonah Williams.

As for Brooks, he ranks as the No. 142 player in the country, No. 14 offensive tackle and as the No. 20 player in the state.
