Paul Pierce Accused Of Withholding Details On Steph Curry Teaming Up With NBA MVP

It's no secret that Stephen Curry is going to need some help if the Golden State Warriors want to win another championship before the GOAT shooter calls time on his decorated career.
The Dubs lost Klay Thompson and Chris Paul in free agency this summer, and they haven't really made a real splash over the offseason -- at least in terms of forming a roster that can legitimately contend for the title in 2024-25.
In a recent episode of the "Ticket & The Truth" podcast, NBA legends Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce discussed the bleak prospects the Warriors are facing this season. While the two former NBA champs argued about whether or not Curry would jump ship, they both agreed that the former back-to-back MVP won't be adding to his championship tally if he remains in Golden State.
That is unless the Warriors are able to bring in some much-needed help. For his part, Pierce believes that this could come in the form of Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
"The only way I see Golden State getting back to where they need to get back to is if they could find a way to get Giannis over there," Pierce said.
Garnett quickly reacted to Pierce's theory, accusing his former Boston Celtics teammate of withholding insider information on a potential blockbuster trade.
"That's random," Garnett responded. "You got some inside information. That's all that is. Yeah, you do! You got that sneaky a** 'I got in the bag hahaha' look on your face. I know you. This how you look when we on some surprise birthday s***. P can't hold water. I know you lyin'. You lyin'!"
Pierce laughed off the accusations, claiming that he was merely floating the theory of a potential superstar pairing between Curry and Antetokounmpo. Garnett wasn't buying it, though.
Either way, what you can say without a shadow of a doubt is if a Steph-Giannis team-up actually comes to fruition, that's going to be a real problem for the rest of the NBA, to say the least.
