Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has won a lot of things over the past year, from an NBA Championship to an Olympic gold medal this summer with Team USA.

So it's not surprising that he would get a tattoo to commemorate one of those victories, as many athletes end up doing. The victory that he chose to commemorate is somewhat surprising.

Tatum recently showed off his new ink that depicts him holding the 2023 All-Star Game MVP award, which he won after putting up 55 points in the exhibition matchup. He added 10 rebounds and six assists, shooting 22-for-31 from the floor.

It is as important or memorable as an NBA Finals ring or a gold medal? Maybe not to the common fan, but to Tatum it seems to be incredibly important.

When you consider who the All-Star game MVP is named after — Tatum's idol Kobe Bryant — it makes sense that the Celtics' star would want to ink the moment. Tatum is the fourth player to be named MVP since the trophy was renamed in honor of Bryant following his death in 2020.
