Kentucky's defense is loaded with depth and experience heading into the season. Tyreese Fearbry, who will be a junior this season, is looking to make a huge leap in year three under defensive coordinator Brad White. He shown flashes all year last season of a very impressive linebacker, and now he's looking to put it together. According to Brad White, that all starts with becoming more consistent.

Consistency will likely be the main focus for Fearbry, at least early on. It's something that Brad White thinks is a priority. "He's had good days, and he's had days where he needs to improve," White told media on Thursday. "The big thing for him is consistency, and he knows that. So much about what we do on this team and what we do on this defense is we talk in reality. We're honest. We look in the mirror and say, 'Ok, is that good enough, or is it not good enough? Am I consistently where I need to be?' He's still trying to gain that consistency, because when he's on, he's a difference maker for us."

White then stressed it's all about being consistent enough to where it doesn't put the rest of the defense in a spot to where it starts to hurt them. With that being the focus for Fearbry all through fall camp and now with the season approaching, he certainly could make a big jump in his third year in Lexington. Last season, he saw action in all of Kentucky's 13 games after redshirting his freshman year. He totaled 6 tackles, a tackle for loss, a pass breakup, and 2 quarterback hurries. He recorded 2 tackles and a pass breakup in Kentucky's win over Akron last season.
