For the first time since before the iPhone was invented, legendary college football coach Nick Saban will not be roaming the sidelines and screaming at officials despite having a double-digit lead.

Instead, he has transitioned into a role that now makes him what he appeared to despise the most as a coach, a media member. Saban is now an analyst for ESPN's "College GameDay," which, based on his comments, is a bit tougher than he imagined it'd be.

Ahead of the Week 0 game between Florida State and Georgia Tech, Saban showed that even the best college football coach of all time struggles with change. Saban joked with the rest of the crew that he used to criticize others in a similar role, but now realizes it's not easy.

"You know, I spent my entire coaching career accosting people who speculate, make predictions, and ask hypothetical questions," Saban said . "Now I'm in this world. This is my gig, and it's hard."

While he may find it a bit more challenging than initially anticipated, Saban is already receiving praise from fans who love him in his new role.

"Saban is so good at this gig," wrote one fan on social media.

"As if it even needs to be said, but Nick Saban & Pat McAfee on College Gameday is two of the best decisions ESPN has made in the last decade," added another user.

"Nick Saban will probably get like 11 of the 12 right won’t he? Just listening him to talk on college Gameday is incredible. What a great add," wrote another fan after Saban's playoff prediction.

After years of coming off as someone who despises fun and the media, Saban could very well end up being one of the most fun and talented analysts in all of sports.
