The Philadelphia Phillies (74-54) need answers. Having gone 12-20 since the All-Star Break, the downward spiral needs to end. There is hope for Saturday, however, as the Phillies will welcome one of their best starting pitchers this season back to make his return against the Kansas City Royals (72-56).

That pitcher is lefty Ranger Suarez (10-5, 2.87 ERA). In his last start, Suarez allowed three earned runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four in 5 1/3 innings. Saturday will mark Suarez's first start against the Royals this season, and his first start since July 22nd.

Here is how the Phillies will line up on Saturday:

    1.) DH Kyle Schwarber
    2.) SS Trea Turner
    3.) 1B Bryce Harper
    4.) 3B Alec Bohm
    5.) RF Nick Castellanos
    6.) 2B Bryson Stott
    7.) C J.T. Realmuto
    8.) CF Brandon Marsh
    9.) LF Austin Hays

    SP Ranger Suarez

The Royals will counter with Brady Singer (9-8, 3.18 ERA). In his last start, Singer allowed no earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six in six innings. Saturday will mark Singer's first start against the Phillies this season.

Here is how the Royals will line up on Saturday:

    1.) 3B Maikel Garcia
    2.) SS Bobby Witt Jr.
    3.) 1B Vinnie Pasquantino
    4.) C Salvador Perez
    5.) RF Hunter Renfroe
    6.) 2B Michael Massey
    7.) DH Freddy Fermin
    8.) LF Dairon Blanco
    9.) CF Kyle Isbel

    SP Brady Singer

    How to Watch

The first pitch for Saturday's game is scheduled for 7:10 PM EST. The game will be broadcast nationally on MLB Network (out-of-market only) as well as NBC Sports Philadelphia and Bally Sports Kansas City.

Phillies fans can listen to the game on 1210 WPHT or WTTM 1680.
