The Florida State Seminoles fell to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday to open the season. It was a gut punch for the Seminoles after starting the season with high expectations.

Robert Griffin III has been vocal in his support of Florida State in recent weeks. Saturday's loss prompted him to share viral thoughts on why the setback doesn't eliminate the team from contention this season.

"The mission doesn't change for Florida State," Griffin opined. "The only way to clap back at the very loud haters they have was to earn their way into the College Football Playoff again. This loss doesn't change that. Let them laugh and troll for now. Use it as fuel and go prove yourselves."

The post drew a strong reaction from college football fans. In less than an hour, the post had over 112,000 views, 1,200 likes, 144 comments and 177 shares.

There's plenty of football left for Florida State to change the narrative. Griffin believes that the team has the players to overcome the slow start.

To make the playoff the 'Noles will need to beat a few top teams. The team will face the Miami Hurricanes , Notre Dame Fighting Irish , Clemson Tigers and Florida Gators . They'll also face potentially tough tests against North Carolina , Duke and SMU .

Florida State will look to get back in the win column Sept. 2 against Boston College on Monday, Sept. 2.
