On Saturday night, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever will travel to Minneapolis for the second time this season to face the Minnesota Lynx. The game marks a special occasion for the WNBA and the Lynx, as Maya Moore will have her No. 23 jersey retired.

Prior to the Olympic break, before their first matchup, Team USA and Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve had some questionable comments on Clark. When asked about the pro-Indiana crowd in Minnesota, Reeve responded with, "I don't give two s****."

However, before the second Fever-Lynx battle, Reeve seemingly backtracked on her previous statement completely, saying how important it is to have a "roadshow" like Clark.

"The importance of the W, I don't think, is just for Maya Moore's jersey into the rafters; at least, I hope some of you are here for that," Reeve said. "Every city that [Caitlin Clark] is in. I thought that it was really cool that her senior year of college, to see that take hold. It wasn't just the Iowa fans. It wasn't that they sold out Carver. She became a roadshow."

During her rookie season alone, Clark has not only sold out Fever home games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, but has also filled arenas in every away game, with a majority of fans cheering for her.

"I don't remember seeing that in my time," Reeve continued. "And that's held true. We've wanted to play [in] a league that can sort of transcend some of these spaces and have a roadshow."

Reeve's latest comments on Clark have completely contradicted her original statement. She went from not caring about Clark being a roadshow to saying how important it is for the WNBA to have someone like that, just like the NBA does.

"The NBA has players that people come to see... Caitlin Clark and some of these other rookies give us that," the coach added. "Obviously, Caitlin being a big headliner."

Regardless, the WNBA is more popular than it has ever been, thanks to Clark and other rookies like Angel Reese. And now that Clark was able to get some rest during the Olympic break after being snubbed from Team USA, she has caught fire at the right time with the playoffs looming.
