Georgia Tech came away as big winners of the first College Football Saturday of 2024, completing the upset of Florida State over in Dublin, Ireland.

It's certainly an upset, too, since every college football "expert" on the "College GameDay" panel picked Florida State to win prior to the game. The only person on set who picked the Yellowjackets was WWE wrestler Sheamus.

So, after the win, Georgia Tech had plenty of fun at the expense of the "GameDay" crew and posted a video to X showing analysis from the crew that turned out to be completely wrong once the game started.

"Florida State is just way too big in the trenches on both sides of the ball," said Desmond Howard.

Afterward, the post showed a clip of running back Jamal Haynes finding a wide-open lane on the first drive of the game for the Tech offense.

"But I really think Florida State's got too much speed and too much size," commented Nick Saban before picking the 'Noles as well.

Turns out, that statement was rat poison for FSU and perfect motivation for GT. Plus, the video added another successful Haynes run to the video after Saban's comment to rub it in.

Kirk Herbstreit got it rough. A comment of his about Florida State's strength in the running game was played a couple of times over followed by multiple clips of Georgia Tech stuffing the Florida State ball carrier on run plays.

"Give me the Seminoles... by a lot," declared Pat McAfee in the pregame.

The video included that clip and then replayed it in slow-mo as highlights of a Georgia Tech touchdown were mixed in.

Last but not least, Sheamus' pick for the Yellowjackets was played, followed by the game-winning field goal for Georgia Tech, and the ensuing crowd pandemonium.

What a piece of cinema on this lovely Sunday morning from the Georgia Tech social media team.
