The ESPN "College GameDay" crew was back on national television on Saturday, previewing the Florida State Seminoles versus Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Dublin, Ireland.

Prior to the panel's Week Zero predictions, they shared their thoughts on the winners of each conference, as well as the national championship.

During the show, Desmond Howard dropped his pick on the SEC championship winner. He believes Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are the "top dog."

"Georgia is still the top dog in the SEC," Howard said.

The Bulldogs finished the 2023-24 season with a 13-1 record, falling to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game.

While Georgia didn't have a spot in the 4-team College Football Playoff last season, they've been the most dominant program of the last couple of years.

The Bulldogs were the back-to-back national champions after winning the title in 2021 and 2022.

They're now heading into the first season of the 12-team playoff, being the favorites to win the SEC after retaining most of their talent from last year.

A couple of key members of the Georgia squad include quarterback Carson Beck and safety Malaki Starks, both of which will enter the season as the leaders of their respective units.

Desmond Howard seems to have confidence in the Bulldogs' roster, and he's riding the hot hand, having trust in the winner of the national title from two of the last three seasons.
