The Washington Commanders are set to take on the New England Patriots to wrap up their preseason at Commanders Field in Landover, Maryland on Sunday night.

Starting quarterback Jayden Daniels is out, as are most of the starters including Terry McLaurin, Bobby Wagner, Frankie Luvu, and Sam Cosmi among others.

We will give you some players to keep your eyes on in this game that could make the team and be on the roster moving forward.

Receiver Brycen Tremayne has been a camp standout thus far. At 6-4 and 212 pounds, he has the size to be an effective receiver on the outside. Tremayne is entering his second year in the league, and could be one of the final receivers kept on the roster.

Cole Turner is currently fourth on the tight end depth chart, but could really make an impact and work his way into the top three with a good game on Sunday.

Defensive Tackle Phidarian Mathis has only had one tackle during this preseason and is on the verge of being cut when the tam cuts down to 53 on Tuesday.

Ron Rivera selected him No. 47 overall in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. This was thought as a huge reach back then, and his career is simply not panning out with the Commanders.

Out of the three of them, we believe Tremayne has the best chance to make the final roster on Tuesday.

Sunday’s game is scheduled to kick off at 8:20 p.m. EDT.
