Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Spencer Brown stirred up some controversy this summer when he committed what many consider a cardinal sin in Buffalo: admitting he's a ranch guy when it comes to chicken wings.

In an interview on the “Centered on Buffalo” podcast with former Bills lineman Eric Wood, Brown shared his preference that might raise eyebrows in a city known for its love of blue cheese.

“It’s Bar Bill, Lemon Pepper,” Brown said when asked about his favorite wing place in Buffalo. “With ranch, for everybody out there, I’m sorry.”

For many Bills fans, this revelation is a tough pill to swallow. In Buffalo, the debate between the ranch and blue cheese is serious, and blue cheese has long held the title of the preferred dipping sauce for the city’s iconic wings.

Beyond his wing preferences, Brown also shared some personal insights during the podcast, including details about his pre-game rituals and life off the field. The 6'8", 311-pound tackle from Northern Iowa has been with the Bills since being drafted in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft and has become a key part of Buffalo’s offensive line.

As the Bills gear up for the 2024 season, Brown’s admission might be a fun talking point for fans, but his performance on the field will ultimately determine how he's remembered in Buffalo. However, one thing is for sure: his love for ranch dressing will not be forgotten anytime soon.
