We spend a lot of our time in the sports world talking about who is the best of the best, naming the top guys on the top teams in the league. However, we rarely take time to identify who the worst players are in the NFL.

This week, leading up to the start of the 2024 season, a bunch of NFL coaches got together and unanimously identified who they think is the worst quarterback in the league this season.

Of all the starters in the league — excluding the rookies who are expected to start like Caleb Williams and Bo Nix — NFL coaches told The Athletic that they believe New England Patriots QB Jacoby Brissett is the last-place passer going into the season.

Brissett ranked No. 30 on the QB tiers list, just behind guys like Carolina Panthers QB Bryce Love and Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Darnold.

Brissett will be entering his ninth year in the league this season, and his second with the Patriots, where he started his career back in 2016. He has also spent time with the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns, and Washington Commanders.

In 2023 with the Commanders, Brissett played in three games and threw for 3 touchdowns and zero interceptions.

The Patriots will likely have Brissett start the season ahead of rookie QB Drake Maye, who was selected with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
