WNBA fans have been vocal about their opinion of Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese all season. As one of the biggest stars in the league, the 22-year-old frequently finds her name at the top of headlines.

She's been under fire as of late, garnering inconsistency issues in her first year in the WNBA.

Angel Reese was recently the first player in WNBA history to have three straight games of 20 or more rebounds, but she's struggled mightily when it comes to scoring.

Despite her trouble on the offensive end, WNBA legend Rebecca Lobo is siding with the Reese supporters in any argument against the rookie.

Reese is currently averaging 13.5 points and 12.9 rebounds per game. She's the only rookie averaging a double-double and leads all players in the rebounding category.

Lobo and the ESPN crew did some deep diving into her stats. They found that if you take away Reese's offensive rebounds, in which she grabs from her own misses, she would still be leading the league in offensive rebounds.

"Some of her critics like to say... 'She gets a lot of offensive rebounds off her own misses,' Lobo said. "Well our stats and information group looked that up. If you take away all of the offensive rebounds off her own misses... She's still leading the league in offensive rebounds per game... She has been remarkable. Historically remarkable."

She's averaged 5.2 offensive rebounds per game. The closest player to Reese is her teammate, Kamilla Cardoso, who has averaged 3.1 offensive rebounds per game and is tied with Indiana Fever center Aliyah Boston for the No. 2 slot.

Rebecca Lobo's opinion has weighed heavy on the WNBA community all season.

She was a former WNBA All-Star and NCAA Champion who played in the league from 1997 to 2003. Lobo has been vocal about giving the WNBA's rookie class credit for their success this season, and she followed that narrative when speaking on Reese.

Despite Reese's trouble on the offensive end, shooting 38.7% from the field, the Chicago Sky is still in a position to make the WNBA playoffs.

They're currently sitting at the No. 8 spot in the WNBA rankings with an 11-18 record. The top eight teams in the league rankings make it to the postseason, so Reese and the Sky are playing with fire, but they're in the right position to make the postseason.
