Hailey Van Lith and MLB Star Julio Rodriguez's Pregame Interaction Goes Viral

After throwing out the first pitch at the Seattle Mariners game on Sunday, U.S. Olympian and collegiate basketball player Hailey Van Lith shared a moment pregame with Mariners star Julio Rodriguez that took the internet by storm.

Van Lith won a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics in the women's 3x3 basketball tournament and is currently entering her fifth and final collegiate season while making her third stop in the process. She has announced her intentions to transfer to TCU after spending last season at LSU and her first three seasons at Louisville.

Van Lith, who is from Washington, jumped on the opportunity to throw out the first pitch, and the interaction between the two stars captured a ton of attention after they swapped jerseys.

"That was better than 98.9% first pitches by NBA and NFL players." The announcer said.

On the Mariners X account , the video surpassed 53,000 views in less than 24 hours. The video also surfaced across many different media platforms.

Rodriguez is one of the best young players in the game of baseball today, and Van Lith is looking to bring TCU to relevance after competing in the NCAA Tournament last year alongside Angel Reese at LSU.
