The Dallas Cowboys made a lot of noise in the NFL world on Monday, signing star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb to a record contract extension worth $136 million over four years.

They may not be done yet, either.

On Monday afternoon, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported that the Cowboys are expected to host free agent running back Dalvin Cook on a visit this week. Cook is a four-time Pro Bowler who most recently played with the New York Jets.

The prime of Cook's career came with the Minnesota Vikings, where he became one of the best rushers in the league. He had four straight seasons with over 1,000 yards rushing from 2019-2022, with 43 total touchdowns during that span.

The Cowboys have an interesting outlook at the RB position this year. Over the offseason, they brought back former Pro Bowl rusher Ezekiel Elliott, and they also have Rico Dowdle and Royce Freeman competing for spots as well.

Bringing in Cook would further crowd the RB room, but it would bring more talent to the position and give them another proven runner on the roster.
