The Indiana Fever are trying to get back on track on Monday night when they go up against the Atlanta Dream after a tough 10-point loss to the Minnesota Lynx over the weekend.

The Dream are one of the hottest teams in the WNBA right now, with a 3-1 record following the Olympic break. They present no easy task for Caitlin Clark and the Fever as they fight for their playoff lives.

Both teams played very aggressively in hopes of a win, but Clark may have accidentally taken things a little too far.

With 36 seconds remaining in the third quarter, Dream guard Jordin Canada had the ball on a fast break with Clark trailing. As she went up for a layup, Clark swiped at the ball but connected with Canada's face instead, causing her to fall hard to the floor.

Canada made the shot, and Clark was called for a personal foul, giving the Dream a free throw.

The play had fans angry that Clark was not called for a flagrant foul or, at least, reviewed for one. They left their thoughts on the matter online.

"Caitlin Clark literally hitting a player in the head and not getting a Flagrant Foul? Mmmkay."

"Notice how the refs didn’t call a flagrant on Caitlin Clark, despite her punching Canada in the head? If it was the other way around, CC stans would be rioting. Let’s be fair WNBA. Stop the favoritism."

"Should’ve been a flagrant one on Clark."

"Should be upgraded to a flagrant foul on Caitlin Clark"

"That should have been a flagrant on Clark she knocked Candida in the head"

"that was a flagrant foul on clark against jordan Canada."

Clark has yet to pick up a flagrant foul during her rookie season, but she does have five technical fouls. If she reaches seven, she will be suspended for a game. For every other technical she receives after her seventh (9th, 11th, 13th, etc...), she would receive an additional suspension.
