Caitlin Clark put a scare into Indiana Fever fans during Monday's win over the Atlanta Dream when she rolled her left ankle in the first quarter and fell to the floor, screaming in pain.

Clark was taken to the bench and evaluated by the team's medical staff. Though she looked to be in serious pain after first suffering the injury, Clark was ultimately able to return at the start of the second quarter.

After the game, Clark shared some criticism for her reaction to the injury.

"Yeah, I saw the replay, I looked really soft," Clark said . "It wasn't that bad of a turn but it hurt. So sometimes you just need to give yourself a second. If you've ever sprained your ankle it just stings for a little bit."

Clark revealed that the team's medical staff asked if she needed to go to the locker room for further evaluation, but the Fever rookie wanted to get back to the floor as quickly as possible.

"I was good. They were like, 'Do you want to go in the back?' I'm like, 'No, please just tape right here, let's go. We've got to keep going.' "

Clark's ankle didn't appear to limit her much the rest of the game as she scored 19 points, adding seven assists and seven rebounds in the 84-79 win.
