Atlanta Dream Make Massive Announcement About Caitlin Clark Effect After Fever Game

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever marched into Atlanta, Georgia and helped break the league's record for the biggest WNBA game in Georgia's history.

The Dream welcomed 17,608 fans into State Farm Arena. Their game was being played in the home of the Atlanta Hawks after demand for tickets soared.

Atlanta wasn't able to pick up the victory, narrowly losing to the Fever, 84-79. After the Dream won three straight games in their return from the WNBA's break for the Summer Olympics, they've now lost two straight.

Despite the loss, they were able to help take another step in growing women's basketball, packing the house for a primetime Monday night matchup.

While the Dream has some of the best players in the league, like Tina Charles and Rhyne Howard, the star of the show has been Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever all season.

They're the most-watched team on television networks and continue to help away teams sell out their arenas when a matchup against the Fever is around the corner.

Much of this has to do with Clark, who came into the WNBA as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft.

Just before the league returned from the Olympic break, the Fever reported their mid-season report, revealing a +1,1935 in jersey sales, +264.6% in ticket sales, and +225% in increased partnerships since the arrival of Caitlin Clark.

Clark hasn't just helped the Fever rise off the court. She was named to the WNBA All-Star game, along with two other Fever stars, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.

All three players have turned the Indiana Fever into must-see TV.
