FRISCO - Some of the Dallas Cowboys' offseason doom and gloom has been washed away with the Monday announcement that CeeDee Lamb's holdout is ending as he agrees to a monster new deal.

And Micah Parsons is among the Cowboys figures putting the mood into words.

"Congratulations to my man CeeDee Lamb," Parsons said on his "The Edge '' podcast on Monday. "Man, couldn't be happier for the guy. One of the best dudes in the locker room. One of the best players on our team. To get the payday he got to take care of his family. I couldn't be more happy for CeeDee. ... my brother ...

"It's a dream to watch you, partner up with you and suiting up with you every week. Congratulations on your bread, you earned every dollar."

The dollars were earned on the field and at the negotiating table, too, with the All-Pro receiver getting a four-year, $136 million contract extension , thus ending the 25-year-old's holdout and making him the second-highest-paid non-QB in NFL history, at $34 million APY.

Elation and celebration from here at The Star in Frisco? You bet. But another emotion, too.

Said Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy: “I was excited ... I was anticipating a sooner or later type situation today. It was good to get this done. I think we’re all relieved.”

Next on the agenda, of course, is what the front office and Dak Prescott can do to get together on a contract that as he enters the final year of his deal could make him the highest-paid NFL player ever. Stay tuned there ...
