Few teams in the NFL have gone through the type of injuries that the Buffalo Bills have over the last month. At least 20 injured players, all with a varying degree of concern have left their roster decisions among the toughest across the league.

So when the Bills make a particular roster decision in an attempt to trim the roster to 53 by 4 pm Tuesday, it could be a sign that the organization believes their injury problems might be at an end.

That's exactly where the team is at the quarterback position.

With the current injury to immediate backup Mitchell Trubisky, the Bills still released Ben DiNucci from the roster Tuesday morning. The move is a sign that the knee injury Trubisky suffered in the second preseason game against the Steelers may not be as serious as originally thought.

It's also a sign that the Bills aren't concerned about altering their third quarterback throughout the season.

With the NFLPA's demands that a third quarterback must be added each week should they be on the practice squad, teams can decide almost every week whether they feel the need to keep any of the three on the active roster.

It's why DiNucci's release may not come as a surprise and could be a sign of good things to come for the Bills.
