WNBA Rookie Angel Reese Makes Big Announcement

WNBA rookie Angel Reese has announced her intention to release a brand new podcast called "Unapologetically Angel" on Tuesday morning.

The Chicago Sky rookie will have the podcast featured on all platforms, including Instagram, X, TikTok, and YouTube. The first episode is set to launch on Sept. 5.

She announced that the podcast will be released every Thursday, having her own studio in a Barbie theme after holding nicknames of "Chi-Barbie" and "Bayou-Barbie."

Upon the news, Reese and the show added a quote to the podcast flyer, saying, "What they gonnna say now?"

The show is in partnership with Playmaker, the same company that produces Shaquille O'Neal's show, "The Big Podcast With Shaq."

Reese has become one of the biggest stars in the game of basketball, being a vocal athlete in the WNBA after cementing her off-court brand at the collegiate level with the LSU Tigers.

The rookie hasn't just been a star off the floor, though, having over eight million combined followers on social media.

She's competing for the WNBA's Rookie of the Year award, averaging 13.5 points and 12.9 rebounds per game, being the only rookie to average a double-double while leading the league in average rebounds.

Reese has built an empire on and off the court. She's one of the faces of the WNBA and has partnerships with major companies like The Hershey Company, Beats, and Reebok.
