Netflix launched its eagerly awaited documentary on the disgraced ex-Michigan staffer Connor Stalions this Tuesday.

Stalions, accused of videotaping opposing teams' signals for a competitive edge, was dismissed last fall following an NCAA probe into the program's scouting tactics, particularly those of Stalions.

Over the weekend, the NCAA served Michigan's football program with a Notice of Allegations linked to the sign-stealing inquiry.

In the documentary that premiered on Tuesday, Stalions refuted claims of acquiring signals via in-person scouting.

"I did not obtain signals through in-person scouting," Stalions told the NCAA.

Stalions further clarified that under his direction, no one conducted in-person scouting.

"No, I don't ever recall directing anyone to go to a game," Stalions said.

Numerous reports linked to the NCAA investigation suggest that Stalions bought tickets for various Big Ten games under his own name. However, according to a recent documentary, Stalions claimed he would buy tickets only to resell them or give them away to friends.

Stalions asserted that he never engaged in illegal practices to intercept the signals of rival teams, even though there was footage that seemed to depict him incognito on Central Michigan's sideline during their first game of 2023 against Michigan State.

"One, I've never advance scouted," Stalions said. "Two, if this was about signals, I obtain signals the way every other team does, through watching TV copies and talking to other intel guys from other teams. What set me apart was the way in which I organized the information and processed it on gameday."

Stalions has since left college football and is now the defensive coordinator for Detroit Mumford High School in Michigan. In the meantime, the investigation into the Wolverines' scandal persists, showing no signs of vanishing in the near future.
