'Swift'! Can Kelce Win A Championship as Horse Racing Owner?

Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce has been expanding his horizons outside of football recently.

He recently starred in a horror series on FX. He will be hosting an all-new game show called “Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity” this fall. He will make a cameo appearance in Adam Sandler’s “Happy Gilmore 2”, and he and his brother invested in Garage Beer.

So it should come as no surprise that Kelce is now dipping his toe into the horse racing world.

On Tuesday, Barry Irwin, the founder and CEO of Valor International, announced that the Zoldan Family and Kelce, Taylor Swift's boyfriend, have come together to acquire a significant share of Team Valor’s interest in a race horse named “Swift Delivery.” (Coincidence? We think not!)

The 3-year-old gelding won his first start in an allowance race back on July 19 at Woodbine. The horse, trained by Mark Casses, is set to make its stakes debut on Saturday Aug. 31 in a one-mile race on grass in the Toronto Cup at Woodbine.

Meanwhile, Kelce’s podcast “New Heights”, which he hosts with his brother Jason, was recently picked up for distribution by Amazon for reportedly over $100 million.

The two brothers have grown in popularity of the last couple of years, and Travis dating the world’s biggest pop star Taylor Swift probably doesn’t hurt.
