Auburn Football Projected To Play Yet Another Florida Bowl Game

The Auburn Tigers just can't seem to escape Nashville, Tampa, and Birmingham in the postseason.

The Athletic recently released their 2024 college football preseason bowl projections , submitting their playoff picks and taking a guess at every single bowl matchup of the postseason. According to article author Stewart Mandel, Auburn will face off against Iowa in the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa, FL on New Year's Eve.

Auburn most recently played in the ReliaQuest Bowl against the Minnesota Golden Gophers in 2020, losing 31-24. They lost to Wisconsin 34-31 in OT back in 2015, and defeated the Northwestern Wildcats 38-35 in OT in 2010. Their first two games in the bowl were vs Penn State (43-14 L in 1996) and Ohio State (31-10 W in 1990).
