The Chicago Bears trimmed its roster down to 53 players on Tuesday.

The Bears already announced some roster cuts on Monday, including offensive lineman Ja'Tyre Carter.

The Bears announced the following roster moves were made on Tuesday:

    • Byron Cowart,  DL (released)
    • Greg Stroman Jr., CB (released)
    • Adrian Colbert, S (released)
    • Tarvarius Moore, S (released)

Chicago has also placed offensive lineman Larry Borom and defensive lineman Jacob Martin on the short-term injured reserve. The team also placed wide receivers Dante Pettis and Nsimba Webster, and running back Ian Wheeler on the season-ending IR.

The Bears cut both Reed and Rypien, leaving only Caleb Williams and Tyson Bagent as the quarterbacks on the team. There's a chance either Reed or Rypien could find themselves back on the team via the practice squad.

Daniel Hardy made the team on the defensive line, something that wasn't guaranteed but he certainly proved his worth in the preseason.

Velus Jones Jr. also made the team as a wide receiver instead of a running back, but it wouldn't come as a surprise to see the physical Jones see some plays in the backfield, especially if injuries happen.
