2-Time NBA All-Star Calls Out False Angel Reese Stat

Philadelphia 76ers big man Andre Drummond took issue with a stat graphic posted by ESPN highlighting Angel Reese's historic rebounding run with the Chicago Sky.

The SportsCenter account posted a graphic showing Reese and former Detroit Pistons center Ben Wallace as the only players with 20-plus rebounds in three consecutive games over the last 50 years.

"Angel Reese is one of just two players in the WNBA & NBA in the last 50 years to grab 20+ REB three games in a row. The most recent streak before these was Wilt Chamberlain in 1973!" the post read.

Drummond was quick to point out that he had done so as well.

"You forgetting someone *cough," Drummond wrote on X.

A fan also had Drummond's back, posting his game log from the 2019-20 season when he did it four times in a row, snagging 88 rebounds over a four-game span.

"IM NOT GONNA SIT HERE AND LET ANDRE DRUMMOND GET ERASED FROM THE HISTORY BOOKS," the fan wrote.

Drummond's beef with the stat graphic doesn't detract from Reese's incredible run. The rookie has already made her mark as one of the best rebounders in the WNBA. Reese also tied Tina Charles for the most double-doubles by a rookie with her most recent 12-point, 22-rebound outing against the Las Vegas Aces.

Reese is playing around 32 minutes per game, averaging 13.5 points and 12.9 rebounds. Her goal now is to keep the Sky in playoff contention. Chicago is hanging on to the No. 8 spot with an 11-18 record.
