Timberwolves news: Anthony Edwards ranked just outside of top 10 ratings in NBA 2K25

The Minnesota Timberwolves' young star Anthony Edwards just missed the top 10 best rankings in the new NBA 2K25 video game set to be released next month.

Edwards' overall rating entering his fifth professional season has him as a 93 overall, No. 11 on the list.

Others with the same overall rating but listed behind Edwards include the Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker and the New York Knicks' Jalen Brunson.

Here's the top 10 ahead of the Wolves up-and-coming superstar:

Edwards, who just turned 23 at the start of the month, had a career-high season last year. He led the Wolves to its first Western Conference Finals since 2004, averaging 25.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game on 46.1% shooting from the field. He also shot 35.7% from the three-point line and 83.6% from the free-throw line.

He wasn't the only player from Minnesota mentioned in the top 100 on 2K ratings, as five other Timberwolves teammates also are listed:

Edwards' rating has increased every year: 77 OVR in NBA 2K21; 81 OVR in NBA 2K22; 86 OVR in NBA 2K23; 88 OVR in NBA 2K24; and now a 93 OVR in the newest version of the game.

The Wolves are considered a tier-1 team in the game and are tied for the third-best overall grade as a team (83). The best grade of 85 belongs to the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics.

The official release date for NBA 2K25 is Sept. 6.
