In 2018, the New Orleans Saints selected running back Boston Scott out of Louisiana Tech in the sixth round. The Saints ended up cutting the former Bulldog, but the Philadelphia Eagles snagged him up.

Scott spent the last six seasons with the Eagles and added some spark to the offense both as a runner and a receiver out of the backfield. He also spent some time returning punts as well.

His best season with the Eagles came in 2021 when he provided 373 yards on the ground and seven touchdowns.

Scott is a very versatile player, but his production last year fell off a cliff as he produced less than 200 yards of offense over 15 games.

He spent the offseason and summer with the Los Angeles Rams but was released on Tuesday as the team cut down to the final 53-man roster.

Just hours after his release from the Rams, the Pittsburgh Steelers signed Scott to their practice squad. With the uncertainty around running back Jaylen Warren’s injury, Scott could be called on in an emergency to play this season.

With all the cutdowns completed, the Eagles now turn their sights to their Week 1 opponent, the Green Bay Packers. The two teams will clash in the first ever game played in Brazil.

The game will be held on Friday, Sept. 6 with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 p.m. EDT.
