NFL superstar Travis Kelce was recorded by his teammate Patrick Mahomes performing his version of Adam Sandler's iconic "Happy Gilmore" golf swing, and it’s breaking the internet.

In the video, Kelce lines up nearly five feet away from the ball before galloping up to it and crushing it, shouting, "That's absolutely piped." Mahomes can be heard in the background, laughing and saying, "That was actually hammered."

The golf swing is a nod to Sandler’s 1996 film “Happy Gilmore , where Sandler’s character, a hockey player turned golfer, uses an exaggerated running start to drive the ball much farther than with a traditional golf swing.

Gilmore used the technique to win the fictional "Tour Championship" in the movie.

During his appearance on Wednesday’s "New Heights" podcast with Kelce and his brother Jason, Sandler revealed that Travis is set to make a cameo in the upcoming sequel, “Happy Gilmore 2 .

Kelce shared with Sandler that he was practicing the swing after finding out he would be in the film.

“We were talking about you playing my son while we were writing it, literally, like six months ago," Sandler said. "We were like, imagine if Travis was my first baby, how funny that would be.”

Sandler also joked about the real reason behind the sequel.

"The whole thing was to get to hang out with Travis," Sandler said, referencing Kelce's recent world fame, dating Taylor Swift and winning Super Bowls. "That’s why we put it together.”

While it would be a sight to see, it's likely that Kelce will appear in just a cameo role in the film. However, he’s already shown that he can replicate Sandler’s swing pretty well.

“Happy Gilmore 2” will stream on Netflix, although there is no official release date as of now.
