Colorado Buffaloes star quarterback Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL legend and Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, has officially signed an NIL deal with Nike.

The news was announced in the early afternoon on Aug. 28, where Nike made headlines with the message "You know what time it is." Some accounts on social media have also reported that Nike mentioned "Now it's a family business," connecting the deal with his father.

Sanders will be partnering with the company in a sneaker and apparel deal. There hasn't been a release date announced for any merchandise up to this point.

Nike's announcement with the message "You know what time it is," already has over 300k views across multiple accounts, just minutes into the release of the news.

Sanders is heading into his second year with the Colorado Buffaloes after transferring from Jackson State. He recorded 27 touchdowns on 3,230 yards last season with a 69.3 completion percentage.

He's one of the biggest names coming into the 2024-25 college football season, partly because of his last name, but many view Sanders as one of the most elite players in the CFB landscape.

The 22-year-old isn't just a star on the field, either. He has over 1.8 million followers on Instagram and nearly 75k on X.

One of the biggest stars in college football will hit the field for the first time in the 2024-25 season on Aug. 29 at 8 p.m. ET against the North Dakota State Bison.
