    Philadelphia Phillies Go For Sweep Over Houston Astros

    The Philadelphia Phillies (78-54) are back on top of the mountain after winning four of their last five and nine of 13. Entering Wednesday having won the first two games of their series with the Houston Astros (70-62), they now look for the three-game sweep.

    On the mound for the Phillies will be Taijuan Walker (3-5, 6.26 ERA). In his last start, Walker allowed six earned runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out two in three innings. Walker has made three starts since returning from the injured list and has pitched to a 9.26 ERA across 11 2/3 innings in those starts.

    The Astros will counter with rookie Spencer Arrighetti (6-11, 4.94 ERA). In his last start, Arrighetti allowed no runs on three hits and one walk while striking out six in six innings. While Arrighetti's ERA for the season is high, he has been much better in four August starts pitching to a 2.55 ERA across 24 2/3 innings.

    The first pitch for Wednesday's game is scheduled for 4:05 PM EST. The game will be broadcast nationally on MLB Network (out-of-market only) as well as on NBC Sports Philadelphia and Space City Home Network.
