While he was one of the many players to have been cut Tuesday, receiver Justyn Ross will not be leaving the Kansas City Chiefs . That is, at least anytime soon.

Despite not making the initial 53-man roster, Ross, the former Clemson product, will remain in Kansas City as a member of the Chiefs' practice squad, as first reported by Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz .

The former undrafted free agent's road to making the active roster became tougher this offseason, as the Chiefs signed Marquise "Hollywood" Brown in free agency and selected Xavier Worthy with their first-round pick.

This does not mention the recent re-signing of JuJu Smith-Schuster , who, following his release from the New England Patriots, will look to re-spark his once-productive career in Kansas City.

While the practice squad isn't ultimately where Ross wants to be, it will allow him to continue his development in an offense he is already familiar with, in addition to the potential of eventually being promoted to the 53.

Despite heading into his third year in the league, Ross has only totaled 53 yards on six receptions while playing 10 games, all of which came last season.
