Tuesday Aug. 27, was the official cut down deadline for all NFL teams, meaning they had to take their preseason rosters and cut them down to 53 total players.

Now some of those players who are cut from the 53-man roster find their way onto the practice squad, here are the players the Raiders kept around.

An important player to note right off the bat is UDFA quarterback Carter Bradley. Bradley had a job lined up after the Raiders cut Nathan Peterman and decided to keep only two quarterbacks on the active roster. Should Gardner Minshew or Aidan O'Connell happen to go down with an injury during the season, Bradley could be called up to the active roster.

Another player of note is center Will Putnam, who also happens to be a UDFA. Putnam made headlines during practices for scuffles with linebacker Robert Spillane and Maxx Crosby. The Raiders have lacked depth on the offensive line, so keeping around a player with an apparent amount of nastiness makes sense.

Cornerback Sam Webb also found his way onto the practice squad. He's been on the Raiders' active roster before. Back in 2022, with the team, he appeared in 17 games and, according to ESPN, had 36 total tackles, one forced fumble, and three passes defended. With the questions at cornerback and the need to always have reliable special teams players, Webb could find himself elevated from the practice squad this season.

Regardless, these are the players the Raiders deemed valuable enough to keep around in some capacity and develop or purely keep around for depth, pending no other team trying to take them away.
