The Paris Paralympics is finally upon us. On Wednesday, the opening ceremonies of the highly anticipated event were held in the streets of Paris -- much like they did for the 2024 Olympics a month or so ago.

Team USA has sent out a strong contingent for the Paralympics as they look to build on the success of the Americans from their stint in the Olympics. Team USA earned top honors in the recently concluded Summer Games by bagging a total of 126 medals, with 44 of them being gold. The only nation that came close to the United States was China, which finished with 91 medals (40 golds).

The Paralympics contingent will now be looking to carry over the momentum from the Olympics, and USA Gymnastics has sent them a strong Simone Biles message ahead of what should be another spectacle.

"we’re seated & ready to watch our friends crush it at the #ParisParalympics !" USA Gymnastics wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

USA Gymnastics used three photos of Biles, one of the greatest American Olympians of all time, to express their show of support for the Paralympic Athletes. While the 11-time Olympic medalist has yet to send her own message, it would probably be safe to assume that Biles is all-in in supporting the squad as well.

Unfortunately, gymnastics is not part of the Paralympics. However, there are more than a few elite athletes who will be worth keeping an eye on throughout the competition.

The likes of Sarah Adams (wheelchair rugby), Olivia Chambers (para swimming), Dennis Connors (para cycling), Ezra French (para track & field), Blake Haxton (para canoe) and Trevon Jenifer (wheelchair basketball), to name a few, are some of the top-billers that will be looking to bring home gold for the USA.

The Paralympics is scheduled to take place between August 28 and September 8.
