Jalen Hurts Overrated? Anonymous NFL Poll Calls Eagles QB Fraudulent

In three seasons as the team's starting quarterback, Jalen Hurts has taken the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl and three straight playoff appearances.

Despite the leadership that comes with a situation like that, not everyone feels that Hurts' ability in the NFL is something to commend.

In an anonymous poll taken by 103 players, Hurts was listed as the second-most overrated player in the NFL today. While this would be a situation that many of his detractors would want to use overall, the subjectivity of the poll also had Hurts listed as the eighth most underrated quarterback in the league.

Despite the debate, Hurts is objectively coming off a down year in which he set a career-high in turnovers while being a part of the Eagles dropping six of their final seven games.

Following the season, Hurts and the Birds welcomed the play-calling and system-passing views of new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. With Moore, Hurts is hoping his turnover-worthy plays will decrease going into 2024, and the team can get back to their championship window overall.

It's important to remember that a poll of just 100 players is not necessarily the be-all-end-all for players around the league. It is just a small percentage of the league itself.

Still, Hurts has plenty of critics to silence in 2024.
