Eagles Sign 14 to Practice Squad

The Philadelphia Eagles announced the official release of their 53-man roster Tuesday afternoon.

Now, it's time for the Birds to figure out the final piece to the roster puzzle - the practice squad. Philadelphia officially announced the 14-man practice squad Tuesday evening heading into the week leading up to Week 1 of the regular season.

- OT, Laekin Vakalahi (international exemption)

- LB, Brandon Smith

- RB, Tyrion Davis-Price

Notes

- Gates is expected to be activated to the 53-man roster leading into Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers. He is expected to be the backup to center Cam Jurgens at this stage.

- After being a surprised cut candidate Tuesday, E.J. Jenkins returned to the team as a practice squad player. He will be the team's third tight end going into the new season.

- Parris Campbell could be called up should Johnny Wilson not produce early on in his run with the team to this point.
