FRISCO — Ryan Leaf has not been shy in hiding his disdain for ESPN personality Pat McAfee over the last year. That harbored animosity trickled out once again on Saturday.

Friday's installment of "The Pat McAfee Show" showcased McAfee and his crew in Dublin for the debut of the college football season. During the program, McAfee appeared to be intoxicated, stirring controversy on social media.

The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback pounced on the opportunity, firing an accusation at his former network colleague.

"$85 million bro, hell, he’s high 80% of the time on his tv show it’s said!!" Leaf wrote on X Saturday evening.

A certainly brash claim, but not surprising given Leaf's feelings about the talk show host which trace back to an incident from nearly a year ago.

Leaf lashed out against McAfee and ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit for their comments regarding his alma mater program Washington State. The conclusion of his tenure as a broadcast analyst with the network coincided with the timeline of those exchanges.

He echoed those frustrations on a recent podcast, calling both McAfee and Herbstreit "narcissists."

McAfee has diverted from the norm of daily sports talk shows. His actions last week continue to test those boundaries.
