Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever were involved in a physical matchup on Wednesday, facing the Connecticut Sun at home.

Heading into the game, it was known that Clark would have to deal with immense physicality from players like DiJonai Carrington and Alyssa Thomas, but Clark getting laid out wasn't on the original bingo card.

During the matchup against the Sun, Clark was on the defensive end, chasing a Sun guard when she was hit by a hard screen.

Thomas leaned into Clark to give her player some separation, but fans believe she may have crossed the line and should have been assessed a flagrant foul on the play.

"That was done on purpose," said one fan. "She fell hard. I hope she’s ok."

"That seemed completely intentional," said another fan. "They should have absolutely reviewed that especially with how hard the contact was."

"We were waiting for that all game… it’s in AT’s blood." mentioned one fan.

"Should have been a F1." commented one fan.

"She wasn’t set," said one fan. "It’s a flagrant."

"Should’ve been a Flagrant 1." said another fan.

    "Cheap shot." commented another.

Despite the potential for the foul to be a flagrant penalty, the officiating crew decided not to go to the sideline and review the play.

Thomas' reaction made it seem like it was nowhere near intentional by the WNBA veteran, but the way she leaned into Clark had fans infuriated.
