The Indiana Fever won their second consecutive game with a victory over the Connecticut Sun on August 28. In front of a star-studded home crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse that included Simone Biles and David Letterman, Indiana held off Connecticut in a 84-80 victory.

Fever guard Caitlin Clark, who broke the league's rookie season three-point record by drilling her 86th shot from beyond the arc early on, finished with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. Kelsey Mitchell put up a team-high 23 points with 4 rebounds and 5 assists.

With Katie Lou Samuelson out, Lexie Hull took over her spot in the starting lineup and she did not disappoint. Since returning from the Olympic break, Hull is shooting 70.03% on threes -- the highest percentage in the WNBA during that span.

Hull, who scored 17 points with 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block, addressed the media alongside Clark and Mitchell after defeating the Sun.. However, while trying to discuss her defensive performance, the 24-year-old's comment caused Clark to break.

"I was just trying to get my hands on as many balls as I could and take advantage of..." Hull said, before she heard the rookie laugh out loud. "Caitlin?... We're done."

Clark put her hands on her face, "Oh, Lex," she said. Mitchell was laughing, too.

Fans absolutely loved seeing the women enjoying themselves and keeping things casual as they fight for the franchise's first postseason berth since 2016.

With a 15-16 record, Indiana has nine more games to solidify their spot in the Top 8 and head into the playoffs. Next up for the Fever, a highly-anticipated rematch against the Chicago Sky on August 30.
